GEODI Finds Similar or Copy Documents

GEODI innovations never end. This version also has useful innovations. We hope that you will like them.

Let us begin with the Similarity Determining feature. According to a research a company’s document space is comprised of 50% (Yes, you didn’t read that wrong) copy or similar documents. To save you from that problem and that possible confusion we anymore find copy or similar documents from your files automatically.

You write a letter or a report and save it as Report.docx. Then you have report_r1.docx. Someone else has report_03-02-2016.docx. You send it off to a colleague and it is returned as report_final.docx. We imagine that this scenario is more than familiar.

The million dollar question is this: How many versions of this file was created? Which of them was created last?

GEODI can anymore answer these questions. You conduct a search with GEODI and found the document you were searching for. It automatically gives you information on its copies and similar files. If you wish you can open the similar files as well or compare them using Microsoft Word.

The similarity isn’t only limited to Word files. If you converted your report into report.pdf it will find this too.

The same goes for NCZ plan or DWG architecture plans as well. You revised the plan and found a similar document. You convert the plan into DWG and create another copy. GEODI can find these too.

Our purpose with GEODI is to create information and to simplify reaching it. By preventing copies and similar files from disturbing you we are one step closer to our goal.

Affectionately.
